Okay, so, it's been a while since I've posted anything, and for good reason. I've been sick and my voice has been terrible, as such, I haven't been able to record anything. Since I can't record, I can't publish, and for a few days I was just lopped up in bed.
But, it's not all bad news. I purchased a new computer, via credit, that should be eight times more powerful than the computer I am using now.
Here are my specs, as of this date:
Gateway FX (preinstalled with windows vista)
Video card: Geforce GTX 970 (1)
Hard drive: 1.83 tb (had two, which totaled 5 tbs, but the other one crashed, and this one is making some scary noises)
Processor: i7 (original) 920@ 2.67 GHz
Ram: 12 gb
MB: Gateway TBGMO1

That's it, right up there... I have nothing bad to say about it because the thing lasted for 10 years and the only problems I've had were with the hard drives. One of the factory drives crashed and I replaced them with Seagate.
The dvd slot doesn't work, and the peripherals don't shut, but I'm sure that's my own fault for playing with them and hulking the thing around between moves and the occasional tipping over and what not. It happens when you have kids, okay?
But this new pc is set to be eight times as powerful, and I am excited for this because I am limited by my hardware. I cannot sculpt, or model, really, because once Blender begins to punch pass 50k vertices, it lags, and my cuda is exhausted over the stupidest things (a 3subd tree for example). Since I can't really render hair, and my scenes have to be small, I'm kind of stuck.
So, though I am purchasing this pc through credit, I think it's going to be a wise investment because it will allow me to work faster (because I have to wait a long time for renders, example below)

This image took an hour and thirty minutes to render. It's rendered at 4k resolution and 3000 samples, and it's a shame wix is butchering the quality of it, but anyway, it takes too freakin' long to render. The scene isn't even complicated, for cryin' out loud. I think I need to find an image site I can upload to, and then just link the image here because wix is stupid. Maybe tumblr. Anywho, I am alive, though sick, but I am still working. Wartrice will be the last project I do on this pc, and then it'll be time to start fresh on the new one! Going to take a while to update the thing though, but that's allllll right! Once I get it all flyin' straight, I'll pay my attention to modeling and hair! The final frontier!
