Where I am at, what I am doing. So, lately, I've been retooling my site for the next phase of the plan. I decided a long time ago that I would push for patreon in February, and since Feb. I developed a solid strategy (I think anyway) to be helpful to authors on a budget, while at the same time turning an income. I built a quick tips page that gives advice for new authors who seek to create their own covers, and useful links.
Second, I do believe that value is rewarded, therefore, rather than build free covers, I will build assets (for book covers) and make them available to anyone who signs up on patreon for $5 a month. Not only am I pretty much giving this stuff away for free (look at shutterstock prices if you want proof), but I will be able to create something of high value: assets designed for book covers.
I kind of feel at odds, as I haven't recorded anything in a while, nor have I published anything. Things will get back into that routine soon, it's just for right now, I have to build this stuff out and be useful to the public, while thinking in a business sense.
